Personnel policy

The success of Kazaneft LLP is contingent upon the well-being of its workforce, which is one of the company’s core values. As a result, workers receive fair and comfortable working conditions, easy access to healthcare, enhanced procedures for the development of human resources, efforts to enhance training and skill development, and the establishment of an inclusive workplace grounded in the idea of equal opportunity.

The foundation of Kazaneft LLP’s personnel management is the application of the fundamentals outlined in the personnel policy. The management of Kazaneft LLP is conscious of the extent of its accountability in meeting its duties to employees with regard to human resource management and respect for their rights in the context of the Company’s transition. The following are the main areas in which the company manages its personnel:

  • personnel selection and staffing of the Company;
  • workforce planning;
  • personnel training and development;
  • staff motivation;
  • improvement of corporate communications;

  • Support and development of quality professional education of employees;

  • protection of labor rights, including freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining.

    The Group of firms of Kazaneft LLP, a significant player in the Kazakhstani energy market, is in favor of the plan to restructure the Fund of Kazaneft LLP and its portfolio firms. The Board of the Fund authorized an enlarged Roadmap on February 24, 2022, with the goal of implementing fresh ways to management and reform. This document outlines the systemic changes that will be implemented, including new approaches to dividend and investment policy, privatization of assets, corporate social responsibility initiatives, business support, and improvements to the procurement system and personnel policy.

    Specific steps to improve corporate governance and business procedures in portfolio companies are outlined in the Roadmap. In order to fulfill the demands of the Fund, as well as the expectations of investors and other stakeholders, Kazaneft LLP “endorses the adoption of the authorized Roadmap in its operations.” To meet a goal set forth in the Roadmap, the Fund mandated that contracting companies who provide services to Kazaneft LLP raise their employees’ pay to the average level of the industry.
